Project overview

CORE™ is a body-focused beauty tech line developed from an in-depth analysis of the FOREO brand. The project originates from the identification of a gap in the skincare technology market, where most devices are designed exclusively for facial use. CORE™ expands FOREO's expertise by introducing products conceived for extended areas of the body, integrating technology, design and everyday usability into a single system.

The concept

CORE™ reinterprets historical garments such as the corset, the glove and the culotte, traditionally associated with restriction and control over the female body. Through an aesthetic and cultural research spanning from the 1920s to the present day, these elements are transformed into tools of empowerment. No longer limiting objects, but wearable devices designed to support self-care, autonomy and flexibility, adapting to a woman's rhythm and daily life.

Design approach

The CORE™ line consists of three devices dedicated to the abdomen, arms and glutes. Each product integrates red LED light therapy, a signature technology of the FOREO brand, combined with electrostimulation to improve skin elasticity, hydration, microcirculation and overall skin quality. CORE™ can be used either as a dedicated self-care moment or seamlessly integrated into everyday activities without interrupting daily routines.

Deliverables

As part of the project, two editorial books were developed: one exploring the aesthetic identity and visual language of the FOREO brand, and a second documenting the research and design process behind the CORE™ line. In addition, paper patterns were created to study proportions and ergonomics, along with a wearable study model used to explore the products' aesthetic and formal design.
